Toni Gonzaga shared the reason she decided to venture into vlogging. The multimedia star now has more than 900,000 subscribers on YouTube having just started in January of this year. In an interview with Cinema One’s Inside the Cinema, Toni said that she decided to be a vlogger because she wants to grow as an artist.“Na-realize ko as you grow older in the business you can’t just limit yourself. You cannot put fences around you na hanggang dito lang ako kasi feeling ko when you limit yourself parang you don’t give yourself the opportunity to grow and expand,” she stated.The Kapamilya star said that it was her sister Alex, who has also a YouTube channel, who convinced her to do YouTube vlogging. “It was actually Alex who convinced me for the longest time to open up my own channel because I kept telling her there is no space for me as an introvert to be on YouTube because I always feel like ‘yung YouTube, pangkatulad mo (referring to Alex) kasi feeling ko boring akong tao kasi in real life ganito lang naman ako. But I realized that ‘yung pagiging introvert ko or ‘yung personality ko at hindi man kasing extrovert like her but I can also speak to a certain audience that maybe can relate to me,” she said.Alex, who was also present at the interview, added that she told Toni that it is important that she evolves with her audience. “[I convinced her] na ate alam mo kung hindi ka mag-evolve with your audience, maiiwan ka, so ‘yun,” she said.
