EXCLUSIVE: Zaijian Jaranilla shares why he doesn’t want to be in a love team

At 17 years old, Zaijian Jaranilla has already come a long way in showbiz, with his first teleserye May Bukas Pa having aired one decade ago already. “Ngayon mas marami ng binibigay sa akin na mature roles. Katulad ng since teenager ako, binibigyan na ako ng mga love team. Pero hindi naman yung major love team na pa-tweetums tweetums, ganun. Okay lang sa akin kasi game naman ako sa kahit ano,” he told PUSH. But even if he is already at an age to be paired with a leading lady, Zaijian admitted he still cannot see himself in a love team. “Kasi para sa akin, ang corny ko kasi na tao personally. Kaya hindi ako (mahilig) sa mga love team talaga. Hindi ako sweet kasi (laughs),” he said.In fact, Zaijian said he hasn’t even mastered how to court girls. “Paano ba ako manligaw? (laughs) Hindi pa naman ako na-basted. Teka lang kinakabahan ako sa mga ganitong tanong (laughs). Ano siguro, dini-date ko siya, yung usual. At saka gusto ko yung similar ko na simple lang din na hindi yung maluho na girl. Gusto ko yung ganun,” he added.When at school, Zaijian said he is happy to be a normal Grade 11 student with no special treatment from his classmates and teachers. “Sa school kasi ilang years na rin ako nag-aaral dun sa Angelicum. Eight or nine years na ako dun. Kaya yung mga tao dun, yung mga tao dun parang tropa tropa vibe na lang din,” he shared.The talented young actor said he is just like any teenager when it comes to his likes and dislikes. “More on video games ako. Online gamer ako. Naglalaro ako DOTA, Mobile Legends, yun lang pinagkakaabalahan ko and school,” he said
