One year after she decided to have her breast implants removed, actress Michelle Madrigal said she has never felt more "empowered and confident" about herself.

In an Instagram post Friday, December 11, Michelle posted a photo of herself holding up her breasts implants.

"1 year anniversary. A year since removing these toxic bags in my body," she wrote in the caption.

"Let me tell you, I have never felt so empowered and confident even with my smaller breasts. Clothes fit me better and I am able to move freely. My body feels healthier since my implant removal," she said.

She went on: "No judgements here... if it makes you happy, do it. But do your research and make sure that it is something you truly want in the long run."

It was in December 2019 when Michelle revealed that she had her breast implants removed.

In her YouTube vlog documenting the whole process, Michelle who is currently based in the US, said that she had her breast implants when she was still a teenager.

"I was really young and one of the reasons I got them because I was really like insecure growing up. My sister… she had big breasts like my mom and in my family, I didn't have [big] boobs," she said.

"I was 18 years old, all I cared about was really my looks. I wasn't thinking properly. I didn't know the long term effect," she added.

According to Michelle, she decided to have her breast implants removed because she wanted to take better care of her health. "When you get older, you are going to try everything to live longer, to be healthy and that's what I am trying to

do. I want to be healthy when I'm 50 so that I can still hang out with Nika (her daughter) and just live life without any foreign device in my system," she said.
