On Instagram Wednesday, March 25, Michael shared photos of him and Angel posing by bags of PPEs that they sent over to health workers as he expressed his gratitude to frontliners who are actively helping to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

The designer earlier said that he and his team are planning to produce about 2,000 protective suits made of washable and waterproof fabric as their way of giving back to frontliners.

Aside from Leyva, other Filipino designers who used their tailoring skills and manpower to help solve the scarcity of PPEs in the country include Mich Dulce, Steph Lim, Patrice Ramos Diaz, Rajo Laurel, Patty Ang and Puey Quinones.

Angel, for her part, has set up sleeping quarters for doctors, nurses, and other essential workers in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. She's also actively soliciting beds and pillows.
