These were the words of Vice Ganda as he reflected on the impact of the shutdown of ABS-CBN.

The network announced that it will start laying off its employees in August after its franchise was denied by the House committee.

Napakayaman na nila para maghirap," he tweeted on Friday, July 17.

The It's Showtime host pointed out that the ordinary workers are the true casualties of the decision of the lawmakers.

Sila ang maghihirap,” Vice said.

He added, "Kaya kung inaakala nyong nagtagumpay kayo e nagkakamali kayo. Mali ang natarget nyo. Mali ang pinatay ninyo. At lahat yan ay mumultuhin at gagambalain kayo. Alam nyo kung sino kayo!" Vice remarked.

On July 11, Vice could not help but be emotional on It's Showtime a day after the Congress voted to shut down the network. The comedian walked out in the middle of the show's opening number.

According to Vice, he needed to exit the stage that time to cry.

I couldn’t fake it. Pero ok nako after humagulgol," he explained on social media.

Meanwhile, in another episode of It's Showtime, Vice paid tribute to the 11 lawmakers who voted to give ABS-CBN a new franchise.

Charot!" he quipped during the show's "Super FiestStars" segment.

He then added, "Mabuhay ang 11 mambabatas! Habambuhay namin kayong ipagdiriwang!"
