Liza Soberano took to social media to explain her statement regarding stan (slang word for extremely enthusiastic or devoted) tweeting.

On her Twitter page, the actress shared a screenshot of a comment which criticized her when she was quoted saying in a clip: "I've actually fought with people on my stan account."

Clarifying her statement, Liza explained that what she said was taken out of context. She also apologized for her choice of words.

"Before this turns into something that it is not, I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I do not in any way support fighting and the toxic side of stan tweet. This was taken completely out of context and I apologize for the choice of words I used which may have," she tweeted.

She further stressed that her previous stan tweet arguments were only directed at people who made fun of K-Pop stans for no reason.

"I’ve had my fair share of discussions and arguments on stan tweet with people that aren’t even kpop fans, who make fun of kpop stans for nothing. I don’t find that fair so I tweet them back but never in a way that will bring bad light upon the fandom," she remarked.

She concluded, "That’s all. Just wanted to make some clarifications. Always be responsible with what you say to other people."
