After sending Joshlia fans into a frenzy last August 9 when they started following each again on social media, former couple Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto get paired again onscreen after their zombie flick Block Z in 2019. In the mini-movie Love Unlock: E-numan, art imitates life as they play ex-lovers who will have the chance to talk and reminisce about the past with their friends in an online reunion. But eventually their happy virtual reunion takes an unexpected turn as they recall unresolved issues that will test their clique’s bond.

When news of their exchange online spread among hopeful Joshlia fans, the two say their unfollowing of each other’s accounts was not really as big a deal as it. “Actually pinag-usapan na namin yung before pa eh. (laughs)’ Tapos parang pinagtawanan lang namin,” Joshua shared during the Love Unlock virtual presscon held last August 11. Julia also admitted it was a non-issue for them. “Oo palagi niya ako tinutukso bakit ko daw siya in-unfollow,” she added.

During the virtual presscon, Julia said that she has always had open communication lines with Joshua and has never encountered any awkwardness with him even after their break up. The E-numan actor agreed with his former girlfriend. Nagpunta pa ako sa bahay niya before. May mga times kaming ganun eh. Parang wala namang awkward.

The 22-year-old actor also shared a message for loyal fans of their love team who have been supportive of them since their first team up in 2016. Sana ay panuorin niyo,” he said.
