Wil Dasovich advocates biking for health and transportation

<p>Two and a half years after he was declared cancer-free after undergoing a treatment of chemotherapy and surgery for six months in the US, Wil Dasovich has focused on maintaining his good health and keeping fit with daily workouts which his YouTube followers are used to seeing in his vlogs even before he got diagnosed with the disease. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in August 2017.</p><p>Earlier this year, Wil flew back to the U.S for his for his bi-annual checkup two years after he was declared cancer-free and his new colonoscopy results showed that there are no signs of polyps in his colon which was the first time that it happened since he went into remission.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2018/2/3/fresh-scoops/wil-dasovich-beats-cancer-177455" target="_blank"><u><strong>READ: Wil Dasovich beats cancer</strong></u></a></div><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2020/2/9/fresh-scoops/wil-dasovich-receives-good-news-two-years-after-he-225145" target="_blank"><u><strong>READ: Wil Dasovich receives good news two years after he went into cancer remission</strong></u></a></div><p>Last August 14, the 28-year-old vlogger posted on his Instagram account a suggestion for his followers, encouraging them to use bikes for their physical and mental health. </p><p>He wrote, “If you have a bike, it’s one of the best times to ride. Less cars on the road and a chance to enhance your health both physically &amp; mentally. Outdoor activity allows you to boost your immune system, relieve stress, and get some natural vitamins (sunlight) ultimately helping your cause against COVID, rather than putting you at risk,” he said.</p><p>Wil wrote the post to help break the misconception and fears that some Pinoys may have about biking outside during the pandemic. “I’ve received many concerned/upset messages regarding biking around and I think there is a wide misconception behind the meaning of ‘stay inside.’ There is no physical contact in biking and it is allowed (and should be encouraged!) under MECQ.
