breaks my heart so much. See photos like this is so saddening. Praying for everyone affected by this devastating incident.”</p><p>In another post, Jessy simply shared a black photo with the text “#prayforBeirut” written on it.</p><p>Last year, Jessy’s father Roger Tawile — who resides in Bahrain — flew all the way to Abu Dhabi, UAE last year to reunite with her after two years of not seeing each other. </p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2019/2/8/fresh-scoops/jessy-mendiola-reunites-with-lebanese-father-after-202070"><u><strong>Jessy Mendiola reunites with Lebanese father after 2 years</strong></u></a></div><p>It was in 2014 when Jessy first reunited her father whom she hadn’t seen in nearly 14 years at that time.</p><p>“After 14 years... I couldn&#x27;t help but cry when I saw him again. No words can explain how much I missed my Papa. When he saw me he just hugged me so tight, I couldn&#x27;t breathe,” she wrote.</p><p>She went on: “First words that came out of his mouth was ‘My Princess’ and that was it, I lost it. I forgot where I was and cried like a child, thanking God he gave me another chance to see him again. June 29, 2014. Her mom is a full-blooded Filipina. She has two other siblings.</p><p>The 27-year-old actress, who appeared in numerous ABS-CBN shows throughout the years, made her big debut in 2010 through the teleserye <em>Sabel</em>.</p><div><strong>Beirut Explosion</strong></div><p>The explosion in Beirut occurred last Tuesday, August 4. Reports say that the explosion that shook Beirut’s port area was caused by “high explosive materials.”</p><p>As of this writing, various news agencies confirm that the death toll has climbed to 135 while another 5,000 were wounded.</p>
