Angeline Quinto addresses lesbian rumors

During her much-awaited episode with the ‘King of Talk’ Boy Abunda for The Purple Chair Interview, Angeline Quinto got to address the rumors about her being a lesbian.

The singer, who is aware of the hearsay, said, “Tito Boy, kasi ang lagi kong sinasabi, talagang boyish ako simula noon. So, baka namimisinterpret ng iba ‘yung pagiging gano’n ko. Kasi tito Boy, nanggaling ako sa buhay na wala naman akong pakialam. Tapos biglang gano’n.”

“Pero naririnig mo ‘yun?” asked Boy to confirm if she has heard of it, to which Angeline replied, “Oo naman, tito Boy. Jusko, naging jowa ko nga daw si KC Concepcion.”

“Ayan ang kauna-unahan, tito Boy, [na] lumabas na balita pagkapanalo ko. Mahiya naman ako kay mama Sharon (Cuneta) kung jowain ko siya,” she lightheartedly said.

Meanwhile, it was also during this interview that Angeline admitted her pregnancy, following rumors that have started to circulate online last month.

Clarifying the revelation, Boy asked, “Oo o hindi, buntis ka ba, Angge?” to which she answered, “Opo, tito [Boy].”

“Next year, tito Boy. April po,” she said, implying when she is due to give birth. She also later revealed that she learned of her pregnancy last September.

Overall, Angeline said that she feels excited about her new bundle of joy. “Tito Boy, excited na excited ako sa totoo lang. Parang ngayon lang din ako naging excited ng ganito ulit sa buhay ko,” she said.

“Pero kasi tito Boy, minsan siyempre hindi naman mawawala sa mga iniisip ko, paano bang maging nanay, [di ba? Ako naman kasi tito Boy, parang hindi na rin ako mahihirapan kasi ang daming mga nanay na malapit sa akin. At unang una siyempre tito Boy, napalaki naman ako ng maayos ng Mama Bob so ako, I’m sure na magiging mabuting nanay din ako sa magiging anak ko,” Angeline added.

Likewise, the singer also opened up about her non-showbiz boyfriend, the father of her child, who has been with her for more than a year now.

“Nakilala ko siya, tito Boy, dahil kaibigan po siya ‘nung boyfriend din ng kaibigan ko sa Sampaloc, Manila po. Non-showbiz po,” she said.

“Tapos, ‘nung nagkita kami isang beses, hanggang sa nagkaroon ng communication po, nagtuluy-tuloy. So ngayon, tito Boy, bale mag-iisang taon mahigit na rin po kami.”
