As one of the successful pairings that were formed during the last season of Pinoy Big Brother, new actress Andi Abaya said she and fellow teen housemate and love team partner Kobie Brown have changed a lot since they first met inside the PBB house.

“Of course we got closer and we got to build a professional relationship as well. Kasi sa Bahay ni Kuya may mga task at hamon ni Kuya but of course here it’s really the outside world and so we were able to find a way how we can work together well while we’re doing projects kasi we’re a love team and we should know how to work with each other well. And of course getting along, knowing each other, and having that professional relationship, mas naging close kami sa isa’t isa,” she admitted during the Saying Goodbye mediacon.

After joining Squad Plus earlier this year and then being given back-to-back acting acting projects, Andi shared how lucky she and Kobie feel to be noticed in the industry right away.

“I’m extremely grateful kasi grabe yung tiwala, grabe yung pateince, and the fact na the management believes in us so much, I’m really grateful na nakikitaan nila kami ng potential and they give us these projects. So it really pushes us to work really hard and to prove to them na hindi sila nagkakamali na kami yung pinipili nilang artists for the projects ng ABS-CBN,” she said.

In their first iQiyi series, Andi revealed they did not have to undergo any audition because she and Kobie were handpicked by management.

“We were called by our handler and she just informed us na, ‘Congrats you have a new project. Magkakaroon kayo ng series.’ Tapos nagkaroon kami ng meeting with direk Dolly (Dulu) and tuloy tuloy na yun and sobrang grateful kami na kasama kami sa project na ‘to,” she recalled.

Andi said she and Kobie already have a plan on how they plan to sustain their oinscreen partnership after receiving good feedback from their co-stars and Saying Goodbye director Dolly Dulu.

“Of course we really have to work hard. We have to set our minds and objectives as to what we want to achieve in this industry. And once we set those goals and objectives, we have to take action para ma-achieve yung goals and objectives na yun. And of course we continue to support each other and believe in ourselves and each other. We continue to take good care of each other. Kasi teamwork talaga siya. I believe the secret for us to really work well together is to trust each other, to be really professional, to be open to growth and to be open to learn more so we can become the best versions of ourselves,” she explained.

Saying Goodbye is now streaming exclusively on iQiyi and www.iQ.com. Starring Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Andi Abaya, Kobie Brown, and Nio Tria. Directed by Dolly Dulu.
