After finishing hosting duties in the recently concluded season of Pinoy Big Brother: Connect, Enchong Dee goes back to his acting roots as part of the cast of Huwag Kang Mangamba where he plays the role of a priest.

“Si Father Sebastian ay isang sundalo ni Bro. Kino-consider ko siya na tagapaghatid ng magandang balita sa barangay ng Hermoso. Sabi ko nga ang suwerte-suwerte ko. Siguro isa rin ito sa mga blessing na natanggap ko kasi yung role ni Father Sebastian nadadamay ako. Minsan nakukuha ko yung energy and positivity ni father Seb na kahit si Enchong, kahit dapat nabubuwisit eh hindi. So ayun, masaya ako (laughs),” he said during the Huwag Kang Mangamba mediacon held last March 15.

After getting through challenging times last year, Enchong said he considers himself very lucky to be in a secure place in his life despite the ongoing pandemic.

“Siguro ilalagay ko siya in a way na I’m very grateful na ni isang beses hindi ako nangamba yung buong taon last year. Nagpapasalamat ako. Siguro yun din yung bakit I was able to look after other people or focus my energy on other people because I know that my situation is okay,” he shared.

After starting his YouTube channel last year, Enchong said it was something he would not have taken as seriously if not for the pandemic.

“Hindi siguro kasing sipag ng nangyayari ngayon kasi talagang pinag-iisipan ko, linalagyan ko talaga ng puso at isipan ko kung ano man yung nilalagay ko doon sa vlog ko because it’s clear to me what I want to show people and what I want to share with people. Siguro yun lang yung difference. Probably mas maganda yung quality ngayon dahil may mga oras tayo na makapag-isip at gawa ng ibang bagay,” he said.

“We have seven episodes na nakabangko and masaya ako na lahat naman ng nakakausap ko mga kaibigan ko. Madali sa akin para makipag-usap. I rarely call it an interview. It’s more of a conversation. Inuna ko talaga yung mga kaibigan ko. Iisa isahin ko rin yung cast. Feeling ko pag inis-isa ko yugn cast ng Huwag Kang Mangamba, may isang buong taon ng 2021 na hindi na kailangan mag-isip (laughs). Meron na kaming plano ni tita Sylvia (Sanchez),” he added.
