It replaced the top-rating Kapamilya serye <i>Pangako Sa’ Yo</i>.</p><p><i>Bituin</i> is also known for being one of the shows of the Kapamilya network that had a crossover with the 2003 teleserye <i>Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay</i> in 2003. </p>
