The official music video for James Reid's newest song "Hello" has finally been released.

The actor-singer worked with Gab Valenciano for the nearly five-minute long video, which was uploaded on the YouTube channel of Careless Music last Saturday, August 14.

Gab was credited as the director and editor of the music video. He also created the choreography, together with MJ Arda of the dance group The A-Team.

In an Instagram post, the son of veteran performer Gary Valenciano thanked James for trusting him to direct the video.

"To my bro James, proud of everything you’ve achieved and will achieve. Honored to have created this with you. Thank you for trusting me enough to show the world this side of you. To the entire team, you all are incredible. Never me, always we. Never if, always when. Cheers to this amazing adventure," he said.

James released "Hello" under his own label Careless last June. It follows his single "Soda", which recently hit two million views on YouTube.

It was in 2017 when James, 28, released his debut studio album Palm Dreams, which included his hit songs "Cool Down", "Turning Up", and "The Life."

Recently, James opened up about his decision to step back from acting and focus on making music.

“What I did crave was artistic expression. I didn’t want people to recognize me for my name or the fame. It was for the things that I did or that I created myself,” he said in an interview with OPM band The Juans.

But while pursuing music has been creatively fulfilling, the actor-singer admitted that it has been a more difficult path than acting.

"It was difficult for me to step away from all of that because I was in a very good place. But I stepped away from doing that and I chose something more difficult, which is something that I still had to grow in [such as] making music and production, writing songs,” he confessed.

James said that all his hard work is paying off and that he is living the dream at the moment.
