MANILA (2nd UPDATE) -- Smart's data services have "normalized," the company said, after repairs were completed on Tuesday night following reports that its subscribers were unable to access the internet.

"Repairs have been completed, and data services have normalized," the company said in a social media post, around 8:00 p.m.

"If you continue to experience browsing concerns, please restart your device to refresh your connection," they added.

According to website downdetector.ph, users reported being unable to access the internet sometime around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.

Downdetector also showed that Smart’s sister brand TNT also had many subscribers reporting issues with mobile internet access.

Some users also reported the outage on the comments section of Smart's Facebook posts.

The company later acknowledged problems with its service, saying some subscribers may be experiencing "data connectivity concerns."

"Our team is working on restoring full browsing experience as soon as possible," Smart said.

"If you're experiencing data issues, please restart your phone to refresh your connection," it added.
