Having embraced a new phase in her life when she first turned 40 years old in 2020, actress Tueday Vargas shared her latest reflection just a few days shy of her 42nd birthday last November 9.

In her Instagram account, she wrote,

“I feel blessed in my 40s.

“Of course the 24-year-old wunderkinds are impressive. We’re happy for 30-somethings who have dual degrees and businesses that IPO’d all while sipping their margaritas in yachts. And thank god for the college kids who have the energy to take the world by storm. We’re bombarded by constant media coverage of young people’s accomplishments. Our culture places such a premium on youth that we forget that for most people, around 40 is when success sets in—more senior job titles, better pay, unshakeable, well-earned confidence. Extreme professional success in youth is newsworthy because it is rare.

“But finding yourself, living your life to the fullest, regaining your worth is a 40-year old’s claimed destiny. At this stage your c’est la vie attitude becomes a make or break situation. The allure of youth is fading, time who was our ally before is now withering.

“I used to feel like I was always in a rush to be someone. This idea of a perfect timeline placed so much pressure on me that It made me this tenacious. No regrets here, I’ve done and seen more than my fair share and I am just getting started.

“In my 40s I taught myself how to paint, I started two new businesses, entered a new network and landed regular jobs alongside new and hot celebs, I created and performed in two bands, I learned how to travel alone, I placed value in myself again and the most important achievement of all- I FOUND LOVE.

“This is all because I decided that the perfect timeline does not exist. I can be my best self at any age and there is no better time than now.

“So tonight, as I face my 42nd page, I raise my glass to all the kids of my generation. You are powerful and capable.

“When you’ve reached this stage of your life, it’s likely that you’ve gone through so much: from friendships and heartbreaks to wins and losses that had to be gained through hard-earned lessons. Your 40s are when you experience life on your own terms, as you confidently navigate through the world without being confined by the restrictions of others. So be kind to yourself.

“Happy blood moon birthday to me and to all the Scorpio kids celebrating today! Wait till you see me in my 50s.”

During the pandemic, Tuesday chose to stay optimistic and keep herself productive and shared how she kept away from being bored in an earlier interview.

“I’m very happy because ang tawag ko dito sa opportunity na ito na na-force tayo to be inside our homes, is sheltering in. So I look at it in a positive light, I don’t think of it as anything na detrimental sa personal development ng mga tao kasi only boring people are bored. Kaya kapag bored ka, hindi ka creative. So dapat gawin mo lahat ng puwede mo gawin. Yung second floor ilipat mo sa first floor, i-drain mo yung pool tapos punuin mo ulit, ganun. Magpaka-busy ka,” she said.
