Kim Chiu, Ryan Bang to host ABS-CBN’s global pop reality show ‘Dream Maker’

<p>ABS-CBN announced the hosts for the upcoming reality television show Dream Maker which will form a new 7-member pop group that will be launched internationally. </p><p>Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Among those who will serve as mentors are as follows original MBLAQ member Thunder; choreographer of MOMOLAND and LAPILIS Bae Wan-hee; Dancer, choreographer, and Produce 101 Dance mentor Bae Yoon-jung; composer and producer Seo Won-jin; and composer and producer Bullseye. Brown Eyed Girls vocalist and singer-songwriter Jea will be the show&#x27;s guest dream mentor. A set of Filipino mentors will also be part of the show. </p><p>It was in September when ABS-CBN announced its partnership with South Korea’s MLD Entertainment and KAMP Global to produce Dream Maker.</p><p>The show was described as similar to Korean idol survival shows wherein aspirants have to undergo training and performances. </p><p>&quot;It’s a reality competition that will be searching for a new male pop group that will be launched internationally, specifically to debut in Korea,&quot; Lauren Dyogi said back in September. </p><p>He highlighted that their partnership with the two Korean companies is a step forward in bringing Filipino talents to the global scene.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2022/9/6/fresh-scoops/abs-cbn-with-korean-companies-to-form-boy-group-202199" target="_blank"><u><strong>READ: ABS-CBN partners with Korean companies to form boy group who will debut in Korea</strong></u></a></div><p>&quot;We’re really serious about getting into the international arena. With our two new partners, it will be easier, faster, better for us to get to the global arena in the shortest possible time,&quot; he added. </p><p>Meanwhile, MLD Entertainment CEO Lee Hyung-jin said that he believes that P-Pop has what it takes to make it on the global scene. </p><p>&quot;[I’ve] seen so much talent on the P-pop side, girls and boys who love to sing and dance. As most people know, in K-pop, we spend a lot of time training on top of pure talent. Diligence is probably the first thing we’re looking for,” he said.</p><p>“Second is pure talent and X-factor. We’re looking for the biggest stars, so the X-factor and talent in both vocal and performance like choreography [are] definitely something we’re looking for,&quot; he added.  </p><p>He continued,:&quot;More importantly, we are looking for a P-pop group, but we’re looking for a global group. A global mindset and being a global citizen is another factor that we’re looking for.&quot; </p><p>Dream Maker will air every Saturday and Sunday, starting on November 19 and 20 via Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z. </p>
