KD Estrada says Alexa Ilacad is ‘super proud’ of his new series ‘Bola Bola’

With his first major series Bola Bola all set to start streaming this month, KD Estrada shared that he was already aware that he was part of the cast even while he was still inside the Pinoy Big Brother house. The 19-year-old singer and actor said he does not think fans of his love team with Alexa Ilacad will have an issue with his current onscreen pairing with Francine Diaz.“Yung Bola Bola binigay sa akin ito nung nasa loob pa ako ng bahay (ni Kuya) so yung KDLex that’s super unexpected. But I think tinatapos yung mga projects na solo then when the time comes, me and Alexa will have projects together like a series. Sana magka-movie kami hopefully. But there is a planned series na this late March. Mag-sa-start na kami ng taping next, next week. He also revealed not feeling any pressure even though it is his most major role to date.“Hindi naman (pressured) actually. I told myself na handa naman ako and gusto ko talaga i-explore yung acting. I just wanted to see how different acting was from singing and just tapings. I experienced that and I’m happy for it. I played a supporting role sa Unloving U starring Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte. Actually medyo similar nga yung role ko dun kasi Loisa was the lead singer and I was the band leader and guitarist. Kasi hindi talaga maiiwasan din na kaming dalawa magkakaroon ng mga projects na hindi kami magkasama or iba yung ipapa-partner sa isa’t isa. Pero of course I’m proud din na like she had a music video with Benedix (Ramos) and that’s okay with me. I’m having this project with Francine and that’s okay with her. We just trust each other lang naman talaga. And at the end of the day, at the end of work, ayoko ng magsalita pero basta (laughs),” he said.When prodded about the real status of their relationship, KD just said, “Yes we’re partners. That’s all I’m going to say (laughs). We’re partners.”KD admitted that even though he did not get any advice on acting from Alexa, he was grateful for how concerned she was for him and his career.“Actually sa totoo lang, she didn’t give me any tips (laughs). Of course sabi niya give it your 100%. Ibigay mo lahat kasi first acting project na lead ako. Of course I want to impress Alexa kasi ang tagal na niya dito (sa showbiz). Of course I want to show off din. Pagdating sa acting tips, wala naman siyang binanggit na specific but she did say na based on the trailer parang she saw that my eyes are very expressive so that’s good.
