Film director Kip Oebanda, known for his works such as Liway, Bar Boys, and Abandoned, among others, recently teased fans about Bar Boys getting a sequel.

On the official Facebook page of the hit film, a surprise post brought intrigued to thousands of fans.

“What if?” the caption asked.

In the said post, a photo of what appears to be a script says Bar Boys: After School. No other details of the supposed film have been given as of this writing.

Netizens, on the other hand, quickly shared the excitement about the possible project.

Some of the comments from the netizens were suggestions to the writers and producers on the possible sequel.

“BAR GIRLS/LADIES naman,” a netizen named Allison Burgers commented.

“Bagong lineup sana tapos with cameos from carlo and the gang as prof,” another netizen named Armen Magbitang remarked.

While many are suggesting possible scenarios for the film, others want some of the supporting characters to still be part of the sequel.

As of writing, the post has already garnered thousands of comments as well as shares.

In a previous interview, lead actor Enzo Pineda shared how different Bar Boys was from his other films.

“It’s a barkada film and sobrang tagal na hindi na gumagawa ng mga pelikulang ganito. It’s something very relatable lalo na sa mga students and also to everybody. So dapat talaga siyang abangan because it’s very unique, very relatable, and at the same time it shows a different side naman of Philippine cinema,” he shared.

Bar Boys is a film which revolves around the lives of four people trying to achieve their dreams. The three of them went to law school and pursued their lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer while their other friend tried his luck in the showbiz industry.

The movie and cast have been nominated to award-giving bodies such as FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and PMPC Star Awards for Movies.
