After the announcement of Dolly de Leon’s inclusion in the list of nominees for the Best Supporting actress for the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) last January 19, TBA Studios announced they will be showing Triangle of Sadness once more in Philippine cinemas.

TBA Studios is the Philippine distributor the film.

Dolly has been making her presence and name known globally after earning nominations from different award-giving bodies such as the Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA, Los Angeles Film Critics Association, among others.

“TBA Studios is proud and honored to share that Ms. Dolly De Leon has bagged another historic nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the prestigious British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA),” the statement read.

Because of this, TBA Studios shared that her film will be retuning to movie theaters. Aside from Dolly’s film, award-winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once will also return to the cinemas.

“We have felt the continuous love and support of cinema-goers since we released 'Triangle of Sadness' last November 30. We are happy to announce that 'Triangle of Sadness' is returning to the big screen at Cinema ‘76 Film Society and Powerplant Cinemas together with the award-winning 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' on Jan. 25, 2023,” the statement continued.

Dolly is the first Filipino actress to bag a nomination from the Golden Globe Awards and BAFTA. During the awards season, the Filipina actress has already bagged one win from the LA Film Critics Association alongside Best Supporting actor Ke Huy Quan.

Dolly plays the role of Abigail, a toilet cleaner on a high-end yacht who becomes the leader of a group of the mega-rich passengers when they become stranded on an island.

Meanwhile, the 2023 BAFTA Awards will be held at London's Royal Festival Hall on February 20. It will be hosted by British actor Richard Grant. Aside from Dolly, Angela Bassett, Hong Chau, Kerry Condon, Jamie Lee Curtis and Carey Mulligan were all nominated for the award.
