Janina San Miguel made a mark on local pop culture for her response to a question during a beauty pageant aired on national television 15 years ago — but for all the wrong reasons. Janina found herself getting bashed and ridiculed for her answer. But Janina made what many referred to as a comeback, proving that there’s nothing impossible for people who believe in themselves.It can be recalled that she was eventually named Binibining Pilipinas World 2008 at that time despite people laughing at her performance during the competition back then.Her most memorable lines include, “I don’t feel any pressure right now,” “My family is the most important persons in my life,” and, “I came from one of the Top 10.”Considering the bashing she received back then, most people thought it was the last time that they will ever see Janina join a beauty pageant. Rosa, Laguna.“Just like what Miss Universe said, it’s not about the age. It’s not about the status. We have to treat each other (equally). And if not now, then when? It’s a statement of our new Miss Universe (referring to R’Bonney Gabriel), so I want to join now and have an impact (on) our country. Thank you,” Janina said.When asked about what her defining traits are, she responded: “Of course, I have my courage, perseverance, and patience. She is more confident now and that&#x27;s all that matters,” another netizen wrote.Meanwhile, three winners will be crowned namely Mrs. Face of Tourism Philippines, Mrs. Face of Culture and Heritage, and Mrs. Face of Ecotourism. Another title, Mrs. Face of Elegance, will also be awarded to a deserving young lady.As of this writing, no exact details yet have been revealed about the beauty pageant.
