KC Concepcion shares old letter about wanting to have a ‘complete’ family: ‘Fairytale na lamang’

As Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion’s highly-anticipated concert nears, the ex-couple’s daughter KC Concepcion shared a letter she penned when she was a child.

Sharon and Gabby’s reel-to-real relationship remains one of the most talked about in Philippine showbiz. While their relationship eventually came to an end, they were still blessed with a daughter who would later carve a name for herself in showbiz.

Although KC came to accept her parents’ decision to part ways, it seems a big part of her — especially during her younger days — really wanted her parents to stay together.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, October 24, KC shared photos of letters she shared with her mom. One of the letters included a message for Sharon, telling her that she wanted her ‘Papa’ to stay so they would remain a “complete” family.

“Dear Mommy, I hope I can go with you now. I love you so much. I will write you again okay? Sana papa stays with us so we will be a complete family like what you said in your letter. I love you so much talaga,” KC wrote in the letter.

While KC acknowledged that it would remain a fairytale, she said she is still thankful that her parents will get to reunite in their upcoming concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on October 27.

“Sometimes talaga a fairytale will remain as a fairytale na lamang… Pero that’s okay! 🫶🏼 Thankful ako sa mga ‘silver lining’ natin in life,” she said.
According to KC, she didn’t know such a thing would still happen after years of being apart from each other.

“Imagine, 3 days nalang at magsasama na sila Mama and Papa in a musical celebration after so many years… May ganito pa palang pwedeng mangyari!!!” she remarked.

“Fairytale come true parin naman, di ba?” she added in jest.

Several netizens shared their reactions to KC’s post, with many expressing their happiness for the actress.

“Happy for you Ms. KC! Watched your interview with Ogie Diaz a few months ago and learned how big this is for you!!!!!!! 🤍” one netizen wrote.

“Sending my Love for you may dear KC! Soon magkakaroon ka rin ng complete family. 🙏God bless you always,” another netizen wrote. For some, they believe it’s all about healing wounds.

“These will be a very memorable for you KC..time to heal all wounds,” one netizen said.

Actress Ruffa Gutierrez also reacted to her post, saying she felt touched by the post. “Soooo touching,” Ruffa said.

Sharon has three other children whom she shares with former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan. They are Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.

Meanwhile, KC also has half-siblings on her father’s side, including Garie Concepcion and Cloie Skarne.
