ABS-CBN just announced that  <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime">It’s Showtime</a> will serve its 12-day suspension starting on October 14 to comply with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ruling last September 28. According to Atty. Paulino Cases––MTRCB Board Member and Chairperson of Hearing and Adjudication Committee––27 out of the 30 board members voted to deny the motion of reconsideration.ABS-CBN previously shared that they were “exploring” all the legal remedies and options possible. The MTRCB claimed that  <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime">It’s Showtime</a> allegedly violated Section 3(c) of the Presidential Decree No. 1986 and its Implement Rules and Regulations. The suspension comes after certain groups and individuals allegedly complained to MTRCB after feeling that the actions of hosts Ryan Bang, Vice Ganda, and Ion Perez during the Isip Bata segment was done inappropriately in presence of children.MTRCB Chairperson Lala Sotto was revealed to have inhibited from the voting for the case of the noontime variety program. She added during their press conference that she is just doing her job as the head of MTRCB.
