Vlogger and content creator Ninong Ry embarks on a new phase in his career this year with his first film role as part of the cast of Regal Entertainment’s classic horror franchise Shake, Rattle & Roll Extreme.

He first rose to popularity after he started going viral for his entertaining and informative home cooking videos during the pandemic.

Pero nakakagulat,” he added.

Ninong Ry admitted that he had never considered himself getting into acting before he got the acting offer.

“Hindi talaga. In all honesty, hindi ko naisip. At saka ang sabi pa nila, kung tama 'yung pagkakaalala ko, crineate talaga nila 'yung character ko in my likeness. So, ako daw talaga 'yung fit for the role, parang ganun. Na hindi ko ma-comprehend kung bakit. Pero siguro let’s just enjoy things. Masyado na nating pinag-iisipan. Huwag na. Enjoy-in na lang natin. Pasalamat na lang tayo,” he said.

For his big screen debut, Ry said his onscreen role will not be a far cry from what people see in his YouTube videos.

Malupit 'yung aabangan.

Ang ganda,” he added.

As one of the most popular Filipino chefs on YouTube, Ry said he knows the value of becoming more popular and recognizable in public.

The Culinary Arts graduate from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde explained why he would always be grateful to all his followers.

Ganun 'yun.

So adjustent wise, wala naman kasi naindtindihan ko agad siya," he continued.
