Yeng Constanino fulfills dream of owning a beach house in Zambales

Yeng Constantino and her husband Victor "Yan" Asuncion are now proud owners of a beach house in Zambales.

In an interview with Karen Davila, Yeng shared that having a beach house has always been her dream even since she settled down with her husband.

"Bagong kasal pa lang po kami nagli-lista na ako ng mga things na pinapangarap ko. Talagang nasa top of my list talaga na magkaroon ng beach house kasi feeling ko po dati parang ['yung igagastos] ng family namin kunwari pagpapasok ka sa resort ganyan, pero kung may sarili kang property, madadala ko 'yung family ko, ang laki ng family ko eh," she said.

The Kapamilya singer added that the beach house will also serve as their space for their future offspring and for them to relax.

"Tapos pagnagka-anak kami di na namin iisipin  na parang ay kailangan nating pumunta ng iba't ibang lugar para ma-experience 'yung rest. May sarili kang bakasyonan. Kaya dream ko po talaga siya," she said.

Victor, or Yan as he is fondly called by Yeng, relayed that when they found the lot for the beach house, they camped out to feel the vibes of the place.  

"Actually nakakatawa 'yung first time namin dito. Nakita namin 'yung lot tapos [nagtayo] lang kami ng tent. Sige i-feel nga natin 'yung lugar, wala pang bakod, wala pang anything," he stated.

Yeng relayed that what they had in mind initially was just a simple house in the beginning.

"Simple lang gusto namin, kahit nga kwadrado eh, basta may matuluyan kaming bahay," she said.

However, when they started building their beach house, their house became bigger and bigger.

"'Yung unang naisip namin, sobrang simple lang pero habang ginagawa parang palaki siya ng palaki. So it was fun na nakikita namin 'yung dreams namin na ito na lumalabas na paganda siya nang paganda," Victor said.  

Yeng shared that it has always been their goal as a couple to save and invest.

"May pagka kurips po kami, kuripot, necessary po kasi siya eh lalo na kami mang-aawit. Hindi naman po lahat pinapalad na maging Ms. Regine (Velasquez) o tito Gary (Valenciano) or tito Martin (Nievera)," she said. 

"Hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan, laging ganun ang mindset ko na [sinasabi ko kay Yan], 'Love, hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan 'to so lahat  ng kikitain natin sa iba nating negosyo at sa trabaho ko, gagawin natin invest lang tayo ng invest,'" she added.

The "Hawak Kamay" singer relayed that up until now they continue to invest in properties.  

"Hanggang ngayon po naga-acqauire kami ng properties. Hindi naman na lagi kang anxious noh pero you have to treasure kung ano 'yung presently nagyi-yield ng income for you so that in the future you will [not be worried]," she said.
