Zaijian Jaranilla remained committed to ABS-CBN as he signed a new contract with the Kapamilya network last November 15 at the Dolphy Theater in Quezon City. The talented actor was all smiles as he renewed with his home network for over a decade now.

The Senior High actor was accompanied by ABS-CBN chairman Mark L. Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, COO of Broadcast Cory V. Vidanes, ABS-CBN head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti M. Dyogi, and ABS-CBN head of finance Rick Tan.

Zaijian admitted how nervous he was about the contract signing as he still couldn’t believe it was happening to him. During the media conference after the event, the Kapamilya star was all smiles as he answered questions from the press.

He also said that even if he had gone through an awkward phase wherein a child star transitions into young adulthood, he was given several roles in different series such as Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo.

Zaijian believed that this helped him get past that awkward stage immediately as it gave him opportunities to explore his skill set as an actor.

“Yung awkward stage, thankful ako nalampasan ko siya agad,” he continued.

Now that he’s doing more mature roles such as his character in Senior High, Zaijian admitted that things changed already when it comes to his mindset while taping the series.

Iba yung naging experience ko––thankful ako dahil sa kanila ganito ako ngayon,” he said.

Zaijian is the latest ABS-CBN star to renew with the network following JM de Guzman, Janine Gutierrez, Regine Velasquez, and Kyle Echarri.
