Mariel Rodriguez pauses showbiz career to focus on family and business

<p dir="ltr">Former Kapamilya star Mariel Rodriguez revealed that she is taking a step back from the showbiz industry to focus on her family and to grow her business. She shared that family is her priority.</p><p>“When my kids are big na, I don&#x27;t know when that will be. For now, I&#x27;m savoring that moment that they do need me,&quot; she said.</p><p>For now, Mariel shared that she is having fun doing things outside of television such as her live selling of branded bags, shoes, and other accessories. But at the same time, I get to do what I&#x27;m supposed to be doing, which is taking care of my family,” she shared.</p><p>“I get to stay at home, I handle my own time and I am there on all the milestones of my kids,” Mariel added.</p><p dir="ltr">Meanwhile, the 39-year-old celebrity mom added that she is unbothered when it comes to the criticisms she and her husband has been receiving over the past few years. She maintained that she knows “his capabilities” which is more important for her. </p><p>&quot;I am not bothered [by] those things because one, I know my husband. I know his capabilities, I know his heart. So for me, that&#x27;s what matters most. So hindi kami nasi-shake ng ganung bagay. Patuloy kami,” she closed. </p><p>Also present at the awards dinner was her fellow<em> </em><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime"><em><strong>It’s Showtime</strong></em></a> host Vice Ganda. They were spotted by the media having a lighthearted conversation backstage. </p>
