After being away from the country for more than two years during the lockdown, popular Pinoy Big Brother Season 8 alumni Fumiya Sankai first returned to the Philippines last year where he revisited the PBB house in Quezon City.

He was also reunited with his good friend and fellow housemate Yamyam Gucong who was the Grand Winner during the Pinoy Big Brother’s eighth season in 2019. Back then, their tandem was called “Fumiyam” by their fans.

Earlier this month, the 27-year-old Japanese national visited the country once again and has been sharing daily updates of his trip on his Instagram account. In his post last February 25, he wrote, “I am so happy to be back in the Philippines again. Thank you so much for the many people who approached me when I walked the streets and welcomed me back to the Philippines🥺🌞”

Since his arrival, Fumiya was able to hang out with another Pinoy Big Brother batchmate Lou Yanong whom he met up with at a hotel in BGC last February 26. He wrote, “Long time no see @louyanong ☺️ I missed you🌞.”

In another post, Fumiya shared his schedule for the day while staying in Makati City and even shared how he befriended a security guard at his hotel. “Today I'm getting up early in the morning, buying coffee near my house and having a meeting on the terrace. I wanna swim mamaya☺️”

Last year was a productive year for Fumiya who made his acting debut in his first Japanese romantic drama series called Animals. Last August, he also opened a coffee shop in Japan called Kape Tayo Tokyo along with his Japanese friends. But despite being away from the Philippines, the YouTube vlogger and entrepreneur has also been vocal about his hope to have an opportunity to work in Philippine showbiz once again.
