Jessy Mendiola, Luis Manzano’s daughter gets baptized

Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano had baby Rosie baptized in a Catholic church on Sunday, April 23, over four months since their daughter was born.

Nikki Gil and Alex Gonzaga, who are known close friends of Luis, were among those revealed as her godmothers.

Jessy, 30, shared on Instagram Stories photos and clips of her daughter’s baptism party held at Shangri-La the Fort in Manila. Here’s a look:

Jessy and Luis, who have been married since 2021, quietly welcomed their baby daughter in late December. They belatedly introduced baby Isabella to the world on their first-month birthday in January.

In one of her vlogs, Jessy revealed that she and Luis had been trying to conceive for months prior to their daughter’s arrival. Notably, the pair — who has been together since 2016 — had been forthright about their wish to start a family even before they got engaged and got married.

“We’ve been trying for months. Every time na siyempre hindi kami papalarin, malulungkot kami. So, dumating sa point na hindi na ako nagtetest o umaasa o pag magkakaroon ako, naiiyak ako,” Jessy said.

“So, dumating sa point na hindi na rin kami masyadong pressured. Kumbaga, nag-usap kami na ‘Let’s have fun na lang, let’s enjoy. And antayin natin kung kailan ibibigay sa atin,’” she added.

The baptism of Rosie came just a few days after her dad Luis celebrated his 42nd birthday on Friday, April 21.

The television host and Jessy marked their second wedding anniversary last month. They tied the knot in The Farm At San Benito Lipa, Batangas on February 21, 2021, after four years of dating.
