Stars react to Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque’s engagement

Bea Alonzo and Dominique Roque are feeling the love following their recent engagement.

The couple confirmed they were engaged on Thursday (July 19) after more than two years of dating. On Instagram, Bea shared photos of Dominic’s romantic proposal, which took place on July 18 during a shoot in Bataan.

“In the middle of the shoot, [photographer] Mark Nicdao kept telling me to turn around because he wanted to shoot the back side of my dress, I found it a bit odd, but when I turned around, I found Dom kneeling with a box in his hand,” she wrote.

“You see, I have done so many proposal scenes in my entire career, but nothing beats the real thing. I have been doing it all wrong! Hahaha, Dom said his speech, and it’s like time stood still. Everything went in slow motion. And I felt different emotions all at the same time—joy, excitement, love. I started bawling (swipe to see my ugly cry), But I didn’t want that moment to end. I want this real thing to happen forever… and right then there… In front of the people we love… we decided on forever,” she added.

Anne Curtis, one of Bea’s closest friends from showbiz, celebrated the news, writing, “Omg!!!!! Bei and Dom!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!”

Vice Ganda also reacted, “Yahoooooooo!!!! Mga bata ko yan o!!!!! I’m very happy for u and Dom! Congratulations! Love u both!”

Heart Evangelista was just as thrilled. “Beaaaaaaaaa. I am so happy for you both !!!” she wrote.

It was in April 2021 when Bea, 35, first confirmed her relationship with Dominic, 33.

The couple have been together for more than two years. They celebrated their second anniversary last January 28.

According to Dominic, while he and Bea have known each other since 2016, it wasn’t until in 2019 during a trip to Japan with their friends that they formed a romantic connection.

He also admitted that he had a massive crush on Bea before they started dating; however, the actress thought she was too young for her at that time.
