<p>Dolly de Leon shared her first impression of Kathryn Bernardo.</p><p>When she first accepted the role of Mother Molly in Star Cinema’s exciting new dark-comedy <em>A Very Good Girl</em>, Dolly de Leon said she did not have to think twice once they told her she would be working alongside Kathryn Bernardo for the project. </p><p>“When I first met her, kasi hindi ko na counted &#x27;yung bata pa siya, ibang tao siya nun. She was 13 or 12. Ang ka-chika [ko] nun si Ms. Min, &#x27;yung mommy niya, hindi si Kath. So when I met her again recently for this, I was so nervous actually,&quot; she began. </p><p>She added: &quot;I was super nervous that night to meet her kasi when they pitched the story to me, after nila ikuwento lahat, sabi ko, ‘Maganda &#x27;yung istorya. Gusto ko ito gawin. Maganda &#x27;&#x27;yung role. Gusto ko rin gawin. Pero sino yung Philo, &#x27;yung character to play the young woman?’&quot; When they said Kathryn Bernardo sabi ko, ‘Yes, gusto ko ito gawin!’ Ganun agad as in,&quot; she added. </p><p>&quot;Kasi I’ve admired her for a long time na. Sa<em> Hello  Love, Goodbye,</em> ang husay husay niya dun. And ang impression ko sa kanya, mabait siyang tao. Alam mo &#x27;yung ganun? Kasi di ba minsan &#x27;pag meron tayong di pa na-mi-meet na tao meron tayong pre-conceived notions? Ang impression ko sa kanya mabait. Goody goody, mabait. Hindi naman matigas ulo (laughs). Ang creative nga niya, ang dami niyang ideas, marami siyang ideas na pinu-put forward,&quot; she said.</p><p>&quot;So ang funny lang na na-i-intimidate siya sa akin kasi kinakabahan rin ako sa kanya nung first few days. Pero eventually naging kumportable na ako, parang I didn’t feel it na rin,&quot; she added. </p><p>&quot;Although there are times in a scene, kasi nga she’s so good and it’s a no-no as an actor na when you’re in a scene, pinapanood mo &#x27;yung co-actor mo. Dapat in the scene ka as the character. Napapansin ko lang sa kanya na whenever the camera is angled a certain way, ako kasi I’m not a very technical actor. In fact, I don’t even look at the monitor after the take. Pero she’s very technical, which is a good thing. Alam niya how to play the camera, kabisado niya &#x27;yung face niya,&quot; she added. </p><p>&quot;She’s very in touch with her emotions and her vulnerability and she can bring it out and flesh it out to make it work with the angles of the camera. It’s a skill that I don’t have that she has.
