<p>Karen Davila added another feather to her cap as she has been appointed as an ambassador for UN.</p><p>The ABS-CBN broadcaster shared details about her new role at UN on her Instagram page on Saturday, September 23.</p><p>&quot;THE UN FAMILY. Yesterday, I was officially welcomed by UN Women Asia Pacific Regional Director Alia El-Yassir as the first UN Women Philippines Goodwill Ambassador serving the country &amp; the region. The UN Women regional office alone has more than 150 staff because of the large area they cover!&quot; she shared.</p><p>The broadcaster enumerated the various causes that the UN Women has been championing, sharing: &quot;They immediately hit the ground running with meetings all day going in-depth on all the areas UN Women have been working on - from climate change, ending violence against women (EVAW), women’s economic empowerment (WEE), women’s role in governance, peace &amp; security (WPS), unpaid care and more.
