That explains the warm elements of the [set],” director Rod Singh shared.</p><p>The reality show provided a new den for the contestants and introduced a new elimination rule, raising the stakes for the queens. Unfortunately, during the first episode, Maria Lava, a Drag queen from Cebu, was the first to be eliminated due to this new rule.</p><p>“It’s not really a [totally] different format, it’s like we added new rules this time to make the stakes higher because we listen to our fans. ‘What else can we improve on the show?’ It’s also the idea that every time there’s a new den, there’s also new rules,” she said.</p><p>The production team decided to increase the number of drag queens on the show to intensify competition and raise the stakes.</p><p>“We want to make it exciting not just for the fans but also for the contestants who’ll be joining. She acknowledged that a second season would not have been possible without their support.</p><p>“I’m so thrilled that we have a second season. The first season, we didn’t really have that much expectations so the fact that it was so well received by Prime and the audience around the world. What we did in the first season warranted that people wanted more [of the show],” she shared.</p><p>“Hopefully, the people are gonna be wanting more because drag is so much fun and the drag artists that we have on the show competing for the crown are really hungry for it. I think they’re gonna inspire more people that want to try out doing drag as well,” she added.</p><p>Drag Den Philippines season 2 is now available for streaming on Prime every Thursday.</p>
