South Korean K-pop girl group ITZY will be returning to the Philippines for their Born To Be World Tour in August 2024.

In their Instagram post last Thursday, January 25 (Philippine time), the popular girl group announced the cities and dates included in their second world tour, which was named after their group’s new album released earlier this month.

Based on the posted poster, their Philippine leg is set on August 3 to be held at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Local concert organizer Live Nation Philippines also reposted the poster confirming the group’s return to Manila.

“MIDZY! ITZY is coming back to Manila! 🫰 #ITZY #MIDZY #ITZY_BORNTOBE #ITZY_WORLD_TOUR,” the concert organizer wrote on their repost on X (formerly Twitter).

No further details such as ticket prices and seating arrangements have been announced as of this writing.

Their second world tour will officially start with a 2-day concert in Seoul at Jamsil Indoor Stadium on February 24 and February 25.

Other cities included are Bangkok, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, and Hong Kong for their Asian leg.

The rising K-pop girl group is also set to come to western cities such as London, Paris, Los Angeles, Madrid, Chicago, Amsterdam, and Toronto.

It also seems that only 4 members—Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna—will participate in the tour, as South Korean entertainment agency, JYP Entertainment, announced last November 2023 that Lia will be on a hiatus for Born To Be promotions and tour due to her health condition.

Lia also posted a handwritten letter for fans addressing her hiatus.

“Since MIDZY worries about me more than anyone else even when I am a little sick, I was worried that you would be heartbroken and sad when you heard the news. But at the same time, because MIDZY knows and believes in me more than anyone else, I was able to muster the courage, knowing you would understand and wait for me,” she wrote in her letter.

She continued, “It feels like we’ve passed by so many things one after another. Of course, those times must also be filled with our memories and happy moments we spent together. Although they were such precious times, I came to realize that I’ve been gradually losing myself while running up to this point.

“To that end, I felt like I needed to take some time off to love and fill myself first. As I always say, I sincerely hope that MIDZY will be happy. I will work to return in good health in order to repay how much MIDZY wait and worry for me,” she said before ending her message.

On January 8, ITZY released their full-length album Born To Be along with their music video for the single "Untouchable."

The new album, composed of 10 songs, included the title track "Borm To Be" and "Mr. Vampire," which had music videos that were released last December 17 and January 1, respectively.

The fourth-generation K-pop girl group came back to the Philippines thrice last year.

ITZY met up with Filo MIDZYs on their CHECKMATE world tour in January 2023 and a fan meeting in April 2023, both held at MOA Arena.

They also participated in the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) 2023 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan last December.

“Actually, every time we visit the Philippines, we feel the overflowing passion of the Filipino fans, as well as the bright energy that they give," Lia said during the press conference of their Philippine fan meeting.

"So every time we arrive here, we also get to receive and recharge the energy that the fans are giving to us, so we really love our Filipino fans as well," she added.

After debuting in 2019, the five-member girl group topped South Korean music charts with their hits such as “Dalla Dalla”, “Cake,” “Not Shy,” “Wannabe,” "Mafia in the Morning,” and “Icy.”
