Vice Ganda revealed that he is set to star in a new movie.

The It's Showtime host was at the 20th wedding anniversary of Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas when he made the announcement.

The comedian also shared that he will be working with Jun Lana for his upcoming film.

"Napanood ko kasi yung movie niya, yung 'Kwentong Barbero' (movie of Gladys), eh meron akong project with Direk Jun. Sabi ko ay sakto, eh Jun Lana baby siya, so sabi ko sana sa next project ko sabihin ko kay Direk Jun magsama na kami sa next project ko," he said at the event as reported by MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News.

The last movie that Vice starred in was the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Partners in Crime.

The film marked his return to the film festival after two years of missing it at that time.

"Parang first time ko uli na nag-film fest," he said, describing his experience joining the MMFF again in an interview back in 2022.

"Masaya naman. Nakakatuwa, ang daming tao sa mall. Ang daming tao sa sinehan. Nakakatuwa. Nalulutang nga ako eh. Nao-overwhelm ako. Hindi ko naiintindihan ‘yung nararamdaman ko. Natutulala ako, parang naninibago uli ako," he admitted.

Vice also said that he was elated about Filipinos returning to the cinemas once again

"Ninenerbyos din ako kasi hindi ko alam kung ano dadatnan ko sa mall pagpunta ko. Dasal lang ako nang dasal. Sa kotse, sabi ko, bahala ka na Lord. ’Tas ayan oh, pagdating namin, ang daming tao sa sinehan. So bumalik na uli, 'di ba? Achieve!" he stated.

Vice is currently hosting the long-running Kapamilya noontime show It's Showtime.

In October 2023, Vice and his co-hosts marked the 14th anniversary of the program.

"Happy 14’th anniversary my It’s Showtime family!!!! You are worth all the joy and pain. You are worth fighting for. To more years full of love with you and the Madlang People!!! Papapapapapapa ra papa!!!!" Vice said in a post on social media.
