Star Cinema's blockbuster film Rewind is set to have its US premiere.

Dingdong Dantes traveled to America on Monday, January 29 for the screening of the movie in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California as part of the Manila International Film Festival.

The actor will be attending the Rewind screening at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatre on January 29 at 8:30 p.m.

The actor expressed his elation to bring the movie to America for the Filipino audience there to watch the film.  

"Lubos-lubos ang pasasalamat namin sa lahat po ng bumubuo ng pelikula, lalong-lalo na po sa lahat ng tumangkilik. Kaya ngayon sobrang excited po ako na pumunta sa LA para personally ay ma-meet ko 'yung mga kababayan natin manonood dun," Dingdong said in an interview with ABS-CBN News..

He added: "Looking forward ako na maka-interact ang mga colleagues ko. Siyempre looking forward din ako na ma-present ang pelikula doon sa mga kababayan natin sa LA."

Rewind recently became the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.

The film already earned ₱889 million in gross sales globally as of January 26.

Back on January 17, Star Cinema had a thanksgiving event following the film's success at the Metro Manila Film Festival and as the movie became the highest grossing Filipino film at the local box office at the time.

Dingdong said that he is thankful that the film made an enormous impact on audiences.

"Iba 'pag nakakausap mo mga tao at kwinento paano naging impact sa buhay nila. 'Yun priceless... Itong figure says ganito kadami nanood. We are so grateful we were able to tell the story," Dingdong said at the event.

In the same event, Marian Rivera added: "Noong binasa namin ‘to, isa lang gusto namin mangayari, bonus na lang figure, alam namin maraming pinagdaanan tao ng pandemic. Kaya sabi namin sana gawin kami instrumento ng Panginoon na ma-touch puso nila na magbago at mas mahalin mga tao sa paligid nila."
