OPM stars Ben&Ben and Moira dela Torre were honored by music streaming platform Spotify as the first-ever decade definers for their contributions to the music industry. During the first-ever Spotify Lounge: Philippine edition earlier this week, the two OPM artists were celebrated alongside rising stars Hev Abi and Kapamilya artist Maki who have been inspiring the next generation of artists.

During the first-ever Spotify Lounge: Philippine edition earlier this week, the two OPM artists were celebrated alongside rising stars Hev Abi and Kapamilya artist Maki who have been inspiring the next generation of artists.
The Spotify Lounge: Philippine edition marks the 10th year of the music streaming platform in the country as well. It has also unveiled its refreshed Pinoy Music Hub–– the ultimate destination with 50 editorial playlists that drive culture and champion artist discovery.

Ben&Ben and Moira were honored as Spotify’s inaugural decade definers for their record-breaking hits that have resonated with fans. Rising stars and part of Spotify’s RADAR slate, Hev Abi and Maki were celebrated for their innovative sounds and styles, shaping the next wave of Pinoy Music.

“Spotify played a big role in spreading our music and reaching our audience. As a nine-piece band, with each member being quite unconventional in their own way, it's important to let our music speak for us first. Today, the Philippine music industry is exciting. There's just such an abundance of music that more than ever it feels like there's something good for every type of listener,” Ben&Ben shared.

Meanwhile, other OPM artists were also highlighted for making a mark in the music industry as well. Each artist was given a ring to commemorate reaching the 200 million streaming mark of their songs on the music streaming platform.
