LOOK: Celebrities mourn the passing of Liam Payne

After the shocking and devastating news of Liam Payne’s passing earlier today, several celebrities paid tribute to their fallen friend on their personal social media accounts. The sudden passing made waves on social media as well becoming the most trending topic during the early morning of October 17 (Philippine time).

Liam died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires in Argentina according to a report by the Associated Press. He was only 31 years old during the time of his unfortunate passing.

American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth expressed his shock over the news. He recalled the first time they worked together and how much of an impact the late artist had made in his career.

“I am in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I can not believe he is gone… I am so upset right now, may he rest in peace,” he wrote.

Music producer and DJ, Zedd, took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share his grief. He shared with his millions of followers on the social media platform how unreal the situation was and reminded everyone how short life really is.

“RIP Liam… I can’t believe this is real…absolutely heartbreaking,” he shared.

“Life is short and fragile… You never know what people are going through. We live in times where being rude, divisive  and mean is normal; sometimes even celebrated. It doesn’t have to be this way. We should do our best to be kind, supportive and mindful,” he added.

American socialite Paris Hilton also expressed her deepest sympathies over the loss of her good friend.

“So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing😢 Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. 🙏 RIP my friend,” she wrote.

Liam rose to fame after being part of the hit boy band One Direction which was formed in 2010. Since then, he stepped outside of his comfort zone and became a solo artist–– making several hit songs.
