Enrique Gil revealed that he will be returning to the small screen next year.

"The one I am doing next is going to be a TV series. I will be back on TV," he said in an interview with MJ Marfori during a press con for Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital.

The actor relayed that he will also be co-producing the series.

On why he decided to co-produce his TV show, he shared, "I think it's also nice to have a little bit you know, to create a little bit more. I think more of being an artist, I think it is also exciting on my end. I think it's just growing up lang."

Enrique gave a teaser on what fans can expect from the series. "We're going to be shooting in Europe for it, for the pilot. It's going to be a rom-com na may konting action."

On his leading lady in the series, Enrique kept mum about it at the time being.

Meanwhile, Enrique is set to star in Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital, an entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. He will star as himself in the said movie.

The movie is dubbed as the "first meta found footage horror film" in the country. The MMFF entry is also co-produced by Enrique alongside Erik Matti with and Dondon Monteverde.

"A lot of the movie is candid. The script is just a guide. Whatever happens, the way you say it, kayo na bahala, tayo na bahala. Most of the time, ito scene, may nangyari na ganito and we will just chime in with each other," he shared.

Inspired by the South Korean hit Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, the film follows a team of amateur ghost hunters.

The group of ghost hunters delves into the infamous Xinglin Hospital, a vacant building situated in Taiwan’s West Central District.

Aside from Enrique, the movie will star Alexa Miro, Jane de Leon, Rob Gomez, MJ Lastimosa, Raf Pineda, and Ryan “Zarckaroo” Azurin.
