Kapamilya actor JC de Vera affirmed his loyalty with the Kapamilya network as he inked another contract with ABS-CBN on November 4 at the Dolphy Theater in Quezon City. The Nag-aapoy na Damdamin star expressed his gratitude for his years with the Kapamilya network.

He was accompanied by ABS-CBN chairman Mark L. Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, COO of Broadcast Cory V. Vidanes, ABS-CBN head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti M. Dyogi, and ABS-CBN head of finance Rick Tan, among others.

JC shared how he continues to grow as an actor with the guidance of his home network–– something that he appreciates even until today.

“Syempre, every two years ito yung nilolook forward natin and I want to take this time to tell everyone how thankful and grateful I am for this day. ABS-CBN, kineep pa rin ako–– they will be needing my services pa rin,” he shared.

The Kapamilya star added that he just can’t help but feel proud to be labeled as a versatile actor. Apart from drama and action, JC has done several comedy shows and films with ABS-CBN such as Banana Sundae and Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes, among others.

“I just want everyone to know that I’m still growing as an actor. Patuloy pa rin binibigyan ng mga magagandang opportunities. I’m still challenged, I'm still motivated. Dito, nabansagang tayong versatile actor which is nakaka pressure pero I’m up to the challenge. Yun naman yung dahilan kung bakit tayo nandito–– to perform and entertain,” he added.

When asked about why he decided to stay loyal to the Kapamilya network, JC admitted how he has been continually with the roles given to him ever since he moved a little over a decade ago.

“Ever since na naging Kapamilya ako, palagi akong tinetest ng network na gumawa ng roles na always out of my comfort zone. Masasabi ko talaga na during my stay dito sa Kapamilya, wala akong challenge na hindi ginawa. Parang lahat out of my comfort zone talaga,” he said.

With his contract renewal with ABS-CBN, JC is expected to be seen in more shows and films in the years to come. He is set to star in the upcoming series Nobody alongside Gerald Anderson.
