<p>TJ Monterde shared the story behind his hit song &quot;Palagi,&quot; which now has 34 million streams on Spotify.</p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s really special kasi this song, this is one of the first few releases after na wala na akong record label, independent na ako ngayon. Isa ito sa mga sinulat ko,&quot; TJ relayed in an interview in <em>On Cue</em> with MJ Felipe.</p><p>TJ said that he wrote the track without putting pressure on himself to produce a hit song.</p><p>&quot;There just came a point na sabi ko Lord magsusulat lang ako, walang pressure at all. I&#x27;m just gonna write because I write. That&#x27;s it. Wala akong magiging barometer na malalagpasan kaya niya &#x27;yung ibang songs ko dati? [I told her] &#x27;May 29, 2013, exactly 10 years ago was the day I met you.&#x27; That was the story of the song,&quot; he stated.</p><p>He continued: &#x27;We had dinner and I sang this song for the first time. This is the non-negotiable na &#x27;Palagi&#x27; is gonna be in the concert,&quot; he said.</p><p>TJ is set to stage a concert titled &quot;Sariling Mundo TJ Monterde&quot; at the New Frontier Theater on May 5 and 6.</p>
