Filipina Drag Queen Taylor Sheesh expressed her disappointment after she was targeted in a hate crime during an event in Bayambang, Pangasinan, earlier this week. Videos of her being pushed and tackled in the event that she was performing in were circulated on social media.


“This is traumatic. Literally. I’m shaking [right now],” Taylor Sheesh wrote.

Fans of the Drag artist were quick to show their support in the comment section of her post. Some expressed their disappointment for the lack of security by the organizers in the said event.

“I'm sorry you had to experience that.. hugs for you,” a fan wrote.

“Sorry Taylor Sheesh you experienced this. We are not tolerating people from our town to disrespect anyone. We are really sorry and pls know that we had a great time & you did perform well. We really enjoyed the night! Congratulations. You have my respect,” another fan expressed.

Meanwhile, Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao vowed to pursue legal action against the said perpetrator. In a brief statement, the actress-turned-politician expressed her sincerest apology to Taylor Sheesh for the unfortunate incident.

“I will not tolerate homophobia and physical abuse in my town. I will make sure that JUSTICE will be dealt with. I am sorry to Taylor Sheesh that someone assaulted her during her performance! Don’t worry. Authorities have the person in question and this matter and incident will be dealt with accordingly. BYB is a peaceful and safe town and I CaNNot CONDONE this stupidious act! I am so mad and so angry!!!! SHAME on YOU,” she wrote.

The Bayambang mayor also went live on her official Facebook account to apologize to the LGBTQIA+ community who were affected with the hate crime that happened in her locality.

“Sorry to Taylor Sheesh and to those all who have been offended, especially the LGBTQ community. Again, inuulit ko, our administration in Bayambang strongly supports and we really love our LGBTQ community kaya I’m very upset and I will make sure that justice will be served,” she stated. “We condemn the actions of this certain person with the name that starts with E and we will make sure justice will prevail.”
