<p style="margin:0cm">Dimples Romana recently shared her preparations for her upcoming role in <em>High Street</em>, highlighting the psychological and physical efforts she puts in for the character. In an exclusive interview, Dimples opened up about balancing her professional commitments with her family life, ensuring that her work remains impactful and meaningful.</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">She emphasized that her preparations for <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/highstreet2024"><em><strong>High Street</strong></em></a> are deeply rooted in not only being emotionally ready, but also psychologically as well. “The preparation is really more psychological kasi parang this time you want to attack it in a way that is mas [more] textured,” she explained.</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">Dimples shares that she constantly balances her professional life with her time at home, “At the end of the day, dahil pamilyado akong tao, meron akong ipinapalit sa oras na yun and very precious sa’kin yung time ko with my family.”</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">This consideration is especially significant as she aims to produce work that her children, especially her eldest daughter, can be proud of. “When I think of <em>High Street</em>, I think of Cal, and she’s not here, what would she appreciate? What kind of work ang magagawa ko na magiging proud yung anak kong ginawa ko ‘tong trabaho [na] ‘to?”</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">Physical preparation is also crucial for Dimples, who collaborated closely with <em>High Street</em> directors to perfect the pacing and depth of her character. “Ako siguro yung preparation lang namin ni Direk Onat (Diaz) at Direk Lino (Cayetano) mas conversation about how to pace the character,” she said.</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">Dimples’s goal is to deliver performances that are unique and memorable, distinct from her previous roles. “Kasi kilala ang <em>Senior High</em> for dropping bombs here and there and now and tomorrow. Now for my character it has to mean something at some point and dapat yung hindi ko pa nagagawa dati.”</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">Regarding the pressures of joining <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/highstreet2024"><em><strong>High Street</strong></em></a>, Dimples expressed confidence in the project’s meticulous attention to detail by Dreamscape, the production team. “Alam ko kasi na pag Dreamscape ang gumagawa sure na sure na sureball na yan,” she noted.</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">Dimples described the environment on set as more inspiring than pressuring, driven by a collective eagerness to elevate the show’s standards. “We don&#x27;t operate on pressure anymore we like the happy pressure pero I think it’s more inspiration. Mas dun kami nangagaling yung drive.”</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">With Dimples eagerly anticipating the show’s impact, she finds joy in the creative process, and the opportunity to contribute to an original project that promises to be thrilling. “I think we don&#x27;t operate on pressure anymore... it&#x27;s more inspiration,” she remarked.</p><div style="margin:0cm"> </div><p style="margin:0cm">—By Samantha Prats</p>
