Young Sheldon star Raegan Revord, who plays the role of Missy Cooper in the sitcom, took to social media to share snapshots of her co-stars, cast, and crew following the show's finale episode on Thursday, May 16.

"Finale with the family ❤️ #youngsheldon," she wrote in the caption.  

Fans online were quick to react to her post.

"Young Sheldon was truly one of the best television shows ever! So entertaining, and all of the characters just grew and grew on you as each episode progressed!" one fan commented.

"I thought Young Sheldon was a sitcom! Had me tearing up last night, damn it. The last episode was cool how they tied in the adult Sheldon, clever," another fan wrote.

In a separate Instagram post, Raegan reflected on her journey in the series and its conclusion.

"Over the years I’ve watched a lot of my favorite shows have their series finales and one thing I always thought about is how heartbreaking it must be to say goodbye, never thinking about my own because it seemed so far into the future. Here I am on the day of my own finale heartbroken," she confessed.

The actress went on: "I love this cast, our incredible crew, and these characters so much not having them in my life everyday seems impossible. But I’m also filled with wonderful memories, a beautiful childhood, a family forever, and gratitude."

Raegan expressed her gratitude to the audiences who watched the series throughout the years.

"Thank you to those that have tuned in over the years and for loving these characters as much as we do. I hope you enjoy the finale tonight, it’s some of the most beautiful episodes of TV I’ve ever watched," she said.

Meanwhile, Iain Armitage, who played the main lead Sheldon in the series also penned a heartwarming post on his social media page.

"I’ve always wondered what this day would feel like and now it’s here! Thank you for a wonderful ride.
