Maki drops latest single ‘Dilaw’

<p>Kapamilya singer-songwriter Maki dropped his latest single ‘Dilaw’ earlier this week on all music streaming platforms available. The music video has also been released by music label Tarsier Records on their official YouTube account and has amassed more than 900,000 views as of writing.</p><div><iframe width="928" height="522" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/L215z9C4Zd8" title="“Dilaw” - Maki (Official Music Video)" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>During the Dilaw Fest last weekend, Maki shared with ABS-CBN News how excited he is to be releasing happier songs after his hit sad songs, ‘Saan?’ and ‘Sikulo’.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2023/9/25/rising-artist-maki-releases-debut-ep-tanong-push-tv-1919"><strong>WATCH: Rising artist Maki releases debut EP ‘Tanong’ | PUSH TV<br/></strong></a></div><p>Maki’s single ‘Dilaw’ is his own take on love and how people are willing to offer unconditional love for somebody.</p><p>“A love that feels… ‘di sya super intense na passionate na love,” he explained.</p><p>Maki argued that love is not limiting, just as it is not limited to certain colors.</p><p>“Kasi minsan ina-associate natin madalas for like Valentine’s na kulay red lahat. While for me, after realizing yung feeling of love – yung totoong feeling ng love dini-describe ko sya as yellow in this song,” he shared.</p><p>Since the release of his latest song, ‘Dilaw’ has hit 1,275,641 streams on the music streaming platform Spotify as of writing. The music video also features BINI member Maloi, and Maki shared how natural it felt working with her on the project.</p><p>“The first time I met her, she really had this kind of energy na sobrang jolly, sobrang sunshine.  So grabe, sabi ko talaga sa team na ‘pag ‘di si Maloi nakuha natin, ‘wag na tayo mag-shoot. Kasi talagang she really embodies the color yellow,” he explained.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2023/12/21/bakit-nga-ba-mga-tanong-ang-napipiling-titles-ni-maki-sa-mga-kanta-niya-push-tv-203"><strong>WATCH: Bakit nga ba mga tanong ang napipiling titles ni Maki sa mga kanta niya? | PUSH TV<br/></strong></a></div><p>He recalled having a good time filming the music video with the BINI member as they got to bond and know more about each other.</p><p>“When we were shooting yung field scenes, mainit sya oo, pero nagulat kami nung umulan na lang bigla ng mga dahon. Bigla kaming tumayo ni Maloi, sabi ko tara takbo tayo. Sabi niya, sige [tapos] bigla nalang sumunod ‘yung cameraman,” he recalled. “Tapos ‘yun, magic.”</p><p>Despite all the success he has been receiving, Maki didn’t fail to express his gratitude to everyone who helped him reach this point of his career.</p><p>“Bago samin lahat ‘to so I&#x27;m really really glad kasi ito ‘yung nakasama kong team, kasi walang gumagalaw ng walang puso,” he said. “Lahat sila they always do everything with heart. Just like I do.”</p>
