Former Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño-Seguerra shared why she took legal measures against entertainment website PEP. It could be recalled that she filed 78 counts of cyber libel via 4 complaints at the Office of the Prosecutor of Quezon City against PEP and personalities just last week to the surprise of many.
Former Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño-Seguerra shared why she took legal measures against entertainment website PEP. It could be recalled that she filed 78 counts of cyber libel via 4 complaints at the Office of the Prosecutor of Quezon City against PEP and personalities just last week to the surprise of many.
Liza claimed that she is only exercising her rights as a citizen to fight for what she considers an injustice.

“Right now, we have filed a case and we have yet to hear from them. I guess it will take a week or something para ma-receive nila 'yung subpoena. But you know, I'm exercising my right to lay back my narrative,” she shared.

Meanwhile, her husband, Ice Seguerra, expressed his support towards her in this legal battle.

Previously, Liza shared on her social media accounts about the filing of the cyber libel cases against PEP and other personalities. She claimed that “malicious articles” were released to attack “everything” about who she was–– from her stint as an FDCP chair to just being herself.

Apart from PEP’s news editor and editor-in-chief, former FDCP Chair Tirso Cruz III and present FDCP chair Jose Javier Reyes were included in the complaints that Liza filed at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
