ABS-CBN's head of TV production and Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi flew to General Santos City for the Pinoy Big Brother auditions.

On his Instagram page, Direk Lauren shared a snapshot of himself and the team who will be mounting the GenSan leg of the auditions for the reality show.

"Good morning! Team Gensan for PBB auditions May 4/5 at KCC Mall of Gensan!" he wrote on his Instagram page.

Fans online were quick to react to his post.

"Good morning Direk. Wishing for successful auditions there🤍," one fan said.

"Welcome to Magandang Gensan Direk ❤️," another fan posted.

It can be recalled that one of the Pinoy Big Brother Big Winners, Melai Cantiveros, is from General Santos.

On the Instagram page of PBB, Melai shared tips for aspiring auditionees.

"Para sa mga Bisaya na gusto mag-audition sa Pinoy Big Brother first dapat gusto mo talaga maging housemate at hindi lang nag-audition ka dahil sinabi ng mama at papa mo. Dapat ikaw mismo ang may gusto para magpursige ka talaga sa interview at magpursige ka na mapili sa auditions," she highlighted.

Melai also reminded the auditionees to enjoy the process of auditioning itself.

Lauren and the team from PBB held the first day of auditions for the new PBB season on April 27 at a mall in Quezon City.

“This marks our return on-ground after 6 years. The past days, we were worried if people will come. But it turns out we have a long day ahead,” Lauren said in a previous interview with ABS-CBN News.

The ABS-CBN executive remarked that they are looking forward to finding people who will make "the season exciting."

"I do not dictate because I am open to whoever comes. We find the person who makes the season exciting. We are hoping to find very unique and very interesting housemates,” he pointed out.

Direk Lauren further highlighted that the housemates are never pre-determined.

"They say may napili na, [that's] not true. We will not spend time, energy, and money to mount if we already picked. Do not believe social media,” he said.

It was in early April when Lauren announced that Pinoy Big Brother will be returning for a new season.
