BTS member Jimin is set to release his second album, Muse, this July 19 as revealed by his music label, BigHit Music, earlier this week. Apart from the announcement, a teaser video was released as well to promote his upcoming album.

Jimin previously released FACE back in March 2023 and became the first South Korean solo artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are  excited to share details about the release of BTS member Jimin’s second solo album, "MUSE.' Following his first solo album, 'FACE,' where he sought to explore his true identity, 'MUSE' documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration,” BigHit Music wrote.

Jimin’s second album will feature seven tracks which includes the hit song, "Closer Than This," previously released in December 2023. The music label announced as well that pre-orders for the album will open on June 18.

Fans expressed their excitement upon hearing the announcement as they want to hear the South Korean singer’s voice again. Jimin’s album became a trending topic on social media immediately after the news was dropped.

Previously, Jimin shared in an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the inspiration behind his first album. He revealed that the hit album was a reflection of what he experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic

“This album is, I think many are aware of it, but the album looks back on the emotions I felt chronologically throughout the pandemic. So I would be happy if many people could relate to it,” he previously said.

Jimin is currently serving his mandatory military service in South Korea alongside his fellow BTS members. His fellow member, Jin, was recently released from the military earlier this month and became the first BTS member to complete his service.
