On June 21, a couple of days after the news of his arrest came out, Justin Timberlake shared a message to his fans at his concert in Chicago. Speaking to the crowd at the United Center, Justin opened up about the difficult week he faced following the incident.

“We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights, and it’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now,” Justin told the Chicago audience, who responded with resounding cheers.

He continued, “I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back. Thank you so much.”

Justin was arrested for driving while intoxicated last June 18 after an officer pulled Justin over and “determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Mr. Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment.”

He was reportedly arraigned on one count of driving while intoxicated and was released without bail.

This concert marked Justin’s first public appearance since his arrest by local police in Sag Harbor, New York, early last Tuesday morning.

It was reported by People Magazine that Justin planned to go ahead with his tour schedule following the arrest. His Forget Tomorrow World Tour supports his sixth album, ‘Everything I Thought I Was.’

His last release was in 2018. The album, released last March, is his musical comeback after 6 years. On the week of its release, the album peaked at number 5 in the official albums chart and debuted at number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Justin is still determined to continue with his Forget Tomorrow World Tour despite the setbacks. Justin Timberlake still has 6 more shows coming up, including the show in Madison Square Garden in New York on June 25. He also had 5 more states to visit in the US, followed by his Europe and UK tour in late July.
