Carla Abellana shares why she is in favor of divorce bill

<p>Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is one of the Filipino celebrities who has expressed their support for the passage of the Divorce Bill in the country. Sa nakikita ko, ang daming magbe-benefit because aminin natin marriage isn&#x27;t easy. It can get toxic,” she said.</p><p>Despite her devout faith as a Catholic, the actress expressed her concern for those stuck in abusive relationships. She is hopeful that the bill will be signed and finalized soon as there are many other Filipinos who are also in favor of having the option of divorce.</p><p>“Sana mapirmahan na &#x27;yan, ma-finalize na. Because unfortunately nga there are marriages na nagse-stay nga sila for the sake of the children, they stay married dahil wala silang ibang option, pero hindi na healthy for the family, not just for the marriage,” she shared.</p><p>“So ang dami and you know, I&#x27;m sure dapat pakinggan nila &#x27;yung mga citizens, mga Filipinos,” she added.</p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/3/23/carla-abellana-shares-why-she-considers-new-house-a-miracle-1913"><strong>READ: EXCLUSIVE: Carla Abellana shares why she considers new house a miracle<br/></strong></a></div><p>Despite not having divorce legalized just yet in the country, Carla is legally separated from Tom as the latter, who is an American citizen, filed for divorce in his home country.</p><p>Earlier this year, Carla sat down in an exclusive interview with PUSH as she recently moved into her new house which she considers a miracle.</p><p>“Miracle for me na nabuo ko rin ‘yung house given the circumstances and the unpredictable events in my life recently. Miracle sa’kin ‘yun kasi kinaya ko pa rin. I still have the will, I was still very much capable, and it’s done. Kumbaga, ito na, na-reach ko na ‘yung dream ko na ‘yun,” she previously shared.</p><p>Apart from Carla, Kapamilya actress Maxene Magalona voiced her support for the passage of the Divorce Bill on her social media account last May.</p>
